This review of meal served onboard Vande Bharat train is going viral, but why?

On social media, tourists frequently discuss their experiences traveling on various Indian Railways trains. Some of them go viral on the internet, frequently drawing attention to their shortcomings. Recently, a traveler from Kolkata went viral on X (previously Twitter) with a fair assessment of several characteristics of a Vande Bharat Express.

The train snacks, in her words, were “average” and “the same as Shatabdi (another kind of train).” The image shows packets of what appears to be Roasted Peanut Chikki, Diet Chivda Mixture, and a snack enclosed in a paper bag. A packet of Instant Tea Premix is also present.

She deemed the supper to be “decent” and stated that it, “was warm as well.” In the photo, one can spot dal, rice, chapatis, some kind of curry and sabzi. There’s a portion of Dahi (curd) provided too. Later, she got ice cream, which she also called “decent”.

The X user continued by demonstrating further features of the train, such as the automated doors and the Braille directions. “The window shields don’t block sunlight,” she pointed out. She was forced to shield her face from the intense sun by wearing her denim jacket.

But the restrooms were the element that most pleased her. She wrote, “The washroom truly is the best (I have seen) in a train. Both Indian and Western-style toilets are available complete with hand wash dispensers and automatic hand dryers. The flush surprisingly works well”.
