Viral video catches Amity University law student being slapped by classmates

The victim, identified as Shikhar Mukesh Kesarwani, was allegedly slapped “50–60 times” by fellow students. His father, Mukesh Kesarwani, lodged a complaint leading to an FIR against five accused students — Ayush Yadav, Jahnvi Mishra, Milay Banerjee, Vivek Singh, and Aryaman Shukla.

According to the complaint, Shikhar, who had recently undergone ligament surgery and was walking with a stick, was verbally abused, threatened with death, and repeatedly slapped inside the vehicle. His phone was also broken during the assault, and a video of the attack was circulated on campus.

“Jahnvi Mishra and Ayush Yadav then slapped my son at least 50 to 60 times and also abused me and my parents. They also threatened to kill us,” Mukesh Kesarwani said. He further alleged that when he went to the college, the accused threatened to assault him as well.

Viral Video Shows Continuous Assault

The 101-second video shows a female student repeatedly slapping Shikhar on the cheek while telling him to lower his hands. A male student, identified as Ayush, is seen pushing Shikhar’s hand away and hitting him, while hurling verbal abuses.

At one point, the female student confronts Shikhar saying, “kya bola tha tumne? Character? Character?” before slapping him again. Ayush is then heard threatening, “Agar main maarna shuru karunga… haath neeche kar.”

Another student recording the video is heard asking Ayush to stop, mentioning that Shikhar had already apologised. Despite this, Ayush continues slapping the victim until two others intervene and tell him he has done enough.

The incident has reportedly left the law student traumatised, and he has not been attending college since the assault.
