Virus SW-80 Aircraft: Enhancing Cadet Training
Training is being conducted at the Agadih Airstrip, which features a 1,200-meter runway with a 25-meter width, making it ideal for flight operations. Cadets are learning on the Virus SW-80, a single-engine, twin-seater aircraft capable of flying at 20,000 feet. However, for safety and learning efficiency, training flights are currently restricted to 1,000 feet.
The Commanding Officer noted that NCC Air Wing cadets who excel in the ‘C’ Certificate exam gain direct eligibility for Indian Air Force interviews, making this training a crucial stepping stone in their careers.
Cadets Share Their Excitement
Expressing his enthusiasm, trainee Nitesh Prajapati stated that Jashpur’s pollution-free skies and serene environment provide an ideal location for aviation training. “My dream is to become an Air Force pilot, and this program is my stepping stone,” he said.
Another cadet, Pranshu Chauhan, highlighted the advantages of the location. “Training in the lap of nature is an unforgettable experience. The absence of urban air traffic congestion makes our learning smoother and more effective,” he added.
