Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the nation on the Indian Women’s Cricket Team’s historic World Cup triumph, calling it a proud moment for every Indian.
In a post shared on social media platform X, he said the remarkable victory has “elevated India’s honour on the global stage.”
The Chief Minister highlighted the contribution of Chhattisgarh’s own Akanksha Satyavanshi, who played a vital role as the team’s physiotherapist and sports science expert.
Sai noted that her expertise in fitness and recovery was crucial to Team India’s success, saying her scientific approach ensured the players stayed strong throughout the tournament.

“Akanksha Satyavanshi has proved that the daughters of Chhattisgarh can bring glory to the nation in every field,” CM Sai said.
₹10 Lakh Award Announced
To honour her contribution, the Chhattisgarh government has announced a special award of ₹10 lakh for Satyavanshi.
The Chief Minister praised her discipline, dedication, and commitment, describing her achievement as a “source of inspiration for every girl and athlete in Chhattisgarh.”
