Country’s first AI-based data center park in Chhattisgarh: In a groundbreaking step toward transforming India’s digital landscape, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday laid the foundation stone of the country’s first Artificial Intelligence-based Data Center Park in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur. The initiative is set to position Chhattisgarh as a national tech hub and a critical enabler of India’s Digital Mission.
Spread across 13.5 acres, the AI-based Data Center Park is being developed by RackBank Datacenters Private Limited and includes a 2.7-hectare Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The center, entirely dedicated to AI-driven technologies, will initially operate with a 5-megawatt capacity, which will later be scaled up to 150 megawatts with an expected investment of ₹2,000 crore.
The facility is designed as an eco-friendly and energy-efficient data infrastructure, integrating global green standards. The move reinforces India’s commitment to sustainable digital growth while reducing dependency on foreign data infrastructure.
One Roof for India’s Digital Future: AI, FinTech, Defense, and HealthTech
This ultra-modern park will deliver services spanning:
- AI-powered computing
- HealthTech and medical data analytics
- Defense-related digital operations
- FinTech services and cybersecurity
- Smart Agriculture and weather forecasting

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai called it a “digital backbone for a new era of growth and empowerment,” promising that the park will become the heartbeat of Digital India.
Empowering Youth, Farmers, and Tribal Communities
The AI Data Center Park is expected to generate over 500 direct jobs and 1,500 indirect employment opportunities, with a special focus on local youth recruitment. The impact will ripple across multiple sectors:
Job Creation: Young IT professionals, data analysts, and support staff can now build tech careers in Chhattisgarh instead of relocating to metros.
Smart Agriculture: AI integration will help farmers with crop prediction, weather alerts, and precision farming, boosting yields and income.
Tribal Outreach: Tribal and remote regions will gain access to digital healthcare, education, and government services, bridging India’s digital divide.
Self-Reliance: The park will manage national and global data flow, enabling Chhattisgarh to become digitally self-sufficient.
Digital India Gets a Boost From Central India
The Nava Raipur AI Data Center Park marks a strategic shift in India’s tech geography, moving focus beyond traditional IT hubs like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Gurugram. By bringing high-end infrastructure to central India, the initiative not only fuels regional growth but also supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Digital India that is inclusive, sustainable, and globally competitive.
With services like GPU-based computing, AI analytics, FinTech integration, and data streaming all available under one roof, the park is expected to redefine the role of technology in governance, agriculture, defense, and healthcare.
