Actor Divya Suresh, known for her appearance on Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8, has alleged that she was harassed by an unidentified man while walking to her car in Bengaluru late Sunday night. The actor shared details of the incident through her Instagram Stories, describing the experience as traumatic and raising concerns about women’s safety in the city.
According to Divya Suresh, she and her cousin were heading towards their parked car at around 11.30 pm when an unidentified man allegedly began following them. The 33-year-old actor claimed the man made obscene gestures while trailing them despite being confronted.
In her Instagram story, Divya wrote that the man continued his behaviour even after she and her cousin noticed him and questioned his actions. She said the alleged harassment stopped only after they entered their vehicle.
Reflecting on the incident, Divya Suresh said that no woman should have to face harassment simply because she is walking at night. She tagged the Bengaluru Police in her post and questioned the effectiveness of assurances regarding women’s safety in the city.

In her Instagram story, (accessed by multiple media outlets), Diya wrote “Tonight, my cousin and I were walking to our car at around 11.30 pm when a man started following us. While following us, he was openly touching himself. We noticed it immediately and called him out, but he still didn’t stop. He continued until we got into our car,”. “No women should have to experience this simply because she’s walking at night”. “Where is the safety we keep being promised?” the actor wrote while concluding her social media post.
The actor also recorded part of the incident on her phone and briefly shared the video on Instagram before it became unavailable. In the clip, Divya can be heard saying that she is filming the incident, while her cousin points towards the man and draws attention to his actions. According to the video, the actor said the man continued following them until they got into their car. Her cousin is also heard urging her to contact the police.

The incident occurred near Nithya Hotel in Byatarayanapura on October 4, 2025, and investigators identified the vehicle through CCTV footage.
At the time, Dr. Anoop Shetty, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic West), said the vehicle involved in the accident had been seized and that further investigation into the case was underway.
