Actors Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon’s Cocktail 2 made a promising start at the box office, making Rs 13.50 crore net in India on its opening day.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Cocktail 2 was screened across 10,835 shows nationwide. The film recorded an estimated India gross collection of Rs 16.20 crore on Day 1, reflecting a healthy turnout across cinema halls in multiple regions.
In addition to its domestic collections, the film also generated an estimated Rs 4 crore from international markets. With combined earnings from India and overseas territories, Cocktail 2 posted an estimated worldwide gross collection of Rs 20.20 crore on its opening day.
Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 serves as a spiritual successor to the 2012 film Cocktail. The original movie featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in lead roles and emerged as a successful theatrical release during its run.

The original Cocktail had opened with a collection of Rs 10.47 crore at the Indian box office. In absolute terms, Cocktail 2 has exceeded that opening-day figure. However, comparisons between the two films remain influenced by factors such as inflation, evolving ticket prices and changes in the theatrical market over the past decade.
