With the dress code “The Garden of Time,” Alia Bhatt’s custom-embroidered saree elegantly matched this year’s Met Gala theme, “Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion.” Anaita Shroff, who accompanied the actress to the Met Gala, styled her.

Before her arrival on the red carpet, Alia Bhatt shared with Vogue, “The sari’s design, with its translucent, glass-like appearance is not just a nod to the ethereal quality of the garden in Ballard’s story but also a tribute to the exquisite, enduring craft of sari-making.”

Last year, Alia Bhatt attended her first Met Gala wearing a dress by Prabal Gurung. Since then, the Netflix original film Heart of Stone, starring Gal Gadot, has been added to her list of credits in Hollywood. After acting in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, directed by Karan Johar, Alia is currently working on Jigra, her next project, which she is also producing.
