Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren and MLA Smt. Kalpana Soren attended a grand event organized at the sacred land of Bhognadih on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the brave martyrs Sidho-Kanhu Murmu. Speaking on the occasion, CM Soren said, “Our ancestors fought long and hard to protect their rights over jal-jungle-zameen (water, forest, and land). Today, our government is committed to giving due recognition, respect, and rights to the descendants of these brave martyrs. The economic, social, and educational empowerment of tribals, Dalits, and backward communities is our top priority.”
He added that the state government is constantly working to uplift the poor, laborers, and farmers. “For the first time in the state’s history, government officials are reaching out to villages and panchayats to solve people’s problems right at their doorstep. Unlike earlier times, the elderly and widows no longer have to visit government offices for pensions or ration cards. They now receive benefits without hassle,” he said.
Efforts to Modernize the Education System
The CM highlighted several initiatives in the education sector. He informed that in the first phase, 80 Chief Minister Excellent Schools are being operated under the CBSE curriculum. Additionally, under the “Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship 2025,” 25 students are awarded scholarships every year to pursue higher education abroad.
