The Jharkhand Under-14 Boys Football Team met Chief Minister Hemant Soren today at the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly following their outstanding achievement as national champions. The Chief Minister warmly congratulated all the players, coaches and support staff on their success and extended his best wishes for their bright future.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Hemant Soren said that Jharkhand has immense potential in the field of sports. He reiterated that the state government is fully committed to the all-round development of players and to giving them recognition at national and international levels.
He added that the talent and dedication of the youth of Jharkhand are taking the state’s pride to new heights, and expressed confidence that Jharkhand’s players will continue to set new benchmarks in the sports world in the future.
It is noteworthy that the 69th School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National School Football Championship was held in Umaria, Madhya Pradesh, from December 1 to December 6, 2025. Jharkhand’s Under-14 Boys Football Team delivered an शानदार performance and clinched the national title.

In the thrilling final, Jharkhand defeated Punjab 6–5 in a penalty shootout to secure the championship. The tournament was organised under the banner of the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC).
During their interaction with the Chief Minister, the players said that the state government’s sports policies and incentive schemes continuously motivate them to perform better and achieve excellence.
