Maddock Films, famous for its hit horror-comedies like Stree and Bhediya, is taking a big step forward by expanding its film universe. They’ve just revealed plans for a series of movies that will continue to explore the themes that made these films popular.
The upcoming releases will mix Indian folklore with horror and comedy in a fresh and entertaining way. This new universe aims to create a storytelling experience similar to what we see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with characters and stories connecting throughout the different films.
Stree 3 and Bhediya 2 Lead the Lineup
Fans are eagerly waiting for two films: Stree 3 and Bhediya 2. Scheduled to hit theaters on August 13, 2027, Stree 3 will bring back Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor for another round of supernatural fun. This next chapter will pick up where the beloved 2018 film left off, continuing its mix of horror and comedy. On the other hand, Bhediya 2 will be released a little earlier on August 14, 2026. This sequel to the popular 2022 movie featuring Varun Dhawan looks set to explore the werewolf theme that audiences really enjoyed the first time around.
