Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said Blinkit, which is starting ambulance services, should ensure effective obedience with the laws of the land.

Goyal said, “As regards Blinkit with ambulance service or medicines being delivered, my only submission would be that they have to make sure that they meet the law of the land, and whatever other legal requirements should be properly taken care of. No laws of the land should be broken”.
On Thursday, January 2, Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa took to X and announced an innovative step towards solving the crisis of quick ferrying of serious patients by starting its ambulance services in Gurugram.

Beyond the services of delivering daily essentials, grocery, baby care products, food and more, Blinkit has now thought out of the box, expanding its ambulance services in Delhi. Blinkit’s ambulance service would provide a quick assistance to the patient reaching at their (patient) doorstep in just 10 minutes.
The fist five ambulances will be on the road in Gurugram started yesterday. As the service expand to more areas, the consumers would find an option to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance through the @letsblinkit app.
Blinkit’s ambulances are designed to offer high-quality emergency care, equipped with:
- Life-saving equipment: Oxygen cylinders, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), stretchers, monitors, suction machines, and essential emergency medicines.
- Staffing: Each ambulance is staffed by a paramedic, an assistant, and a trained driver to ensure the best possible care during transit.
- Affordable service: Blinkit has clarified that profit is not the goal, emphasizing affordability for customers while investing in long-term solutions.
