Sonakshi Sinha, after the success of her latest web-series “Heeramandi,” recently spoke to a news portal about her stance on intimate scenes in movies.
The actress, who has made her mark in Bollywood with notable films like “Dabangg,” revealed that she feels uncomfortable with such scenes on screen. Despite being on her 35th film, Sonakshi stands firm in her decision.
In her interview with a news portal, Sonakshi Sinha said, “A good actor will always get work. In my entire career, I don’t think I have lost out on anything that has had a kissing scene or intimate scene.”
She emphasized her clarity with directors and filmmakers about her discomfort, stating, “I’ve always made it clear to my director… ‘This is something I’m not comfortable doing.’ It is totally up to you.”

Sonakshi’s approach is straightforward: if a filmmaker still sees potential in her despite her reservations, she’s willing to find alternative ways to portray scenes or suggests they find someone else who is more comfortable. She maintains that the option remains open for both parties involved.
In “Heeramandi,” Sonakshi Sinha takes on the challenge of double roles. She portrays Rehana, the former chief courtesan of Shahi Mahal, as well as Mallikajaan’s elder sister. Additionally, she plays the role of Fareedan, Rehana’s daughter, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
Sonakshi Sinha journey in Bollywood began with her debut in the blockbuster film “Dabangg” opposite Salman Khan in 2010.
