But Whitney’s comments didn’t stop there. She floated the idea of a dating concierge taking over the dating process entirely. She proposed, “Your dating concierge could go and date for you.” This suggestion left many in disbelief, imagining a world where AI could handle the dating scene on behalf of individuals.
In this futuristic scenario, Whitney suggested that not only could your dating concierge find potential matches for you, but it could also interact with other dating concierges to streamline the process even further. Instead of having to sift through countless profiles and messages, the AI would do the legwork and present you with a curated selection of matches.
The idea of AI essentially taking over the dating experience sparked comparisons to the dystopian themes often explored in the TV series “Black Mirror.” The notion of relinquishing control over such a personal aspect of life to technology raised concerns and prompted discussions about the potential consequences.
