Jharkhand Shravani Mela 2025 Preparations | Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday chaired a high-level review meeting at Sri Lok Krishna Lok Prashasan Sansthan, Ranchi, to assess the preparations for the world-famous Shravani Mela 2025, scheduled to begin on July 11. The meeting focused on ramping up infrastructure, safety, and amenities for the millions of domestic and international devotees expected to arrive at Baba Baidyanath Dham and Basukinath this year.
CM Soren emphasized the timely completion of all arrangements and instructed officials to work in close coordination across departments to ensure that devotees have a safe, seamless, and spiritually enriching experience.
Shravani Mela to Welcome Over 5 Million Devotees in 2025
Highlighting the scale and significance of the annual event, the Chief Minister noted that over 50 lakh pilgrims are expected to participate this year.
“Shravani Mela is not just a religious fair, it’s a cornerstone of Jharkhand’s identity and devotion,” said Soren. “We must elevate its grandeur and incorporate new features to enhance the experience for pilgrims.”
The Chief Minister added that all necessary support—be it infrastructural, financial, or administrative—will be extended to make the Mela more organized, hygienic, and inclusive.
All Departments Directed to Coordinate for Efficient Execution

Special emphasis was placed on traffic regulation and crowd control, especially in the core temple areas. The use of high-definition number plate recognition cameras and a defined speed limit for vehicles will be enforced to maintain order.
Use of Vacant Land Along Mela Route for Pilgrim Facilities
Officials were instructed to coordinate with local landowners (raiyats) to temporarily utilize vacant land along the Mela route for building rest houses, sanitation blocks, and bathing units. CM Soren ensured that all such lands would be returned to owners in clean condition after the event concludes.
He also called for separate accommodations and food services for women and children, enhancing inclusivity and comfort for vulnerable groups.
QR-Based Grievance System to be Launched
To ensure swift redressal of complaints, the Chief Minister announced the launch of a QR Code-Based Complaint System. This will allow devotees to instantly register any grievance during the Mela, with immediate action from officials guaranteed.
CM Soren concluded the meeting by stating, “We are committed to delivering a world-class spiritual experience that reflects the rich culture and hospitality of Jharkhand. The grandeur of Shravani Mela should echo far beyond our borders.”
Senior officials from the Baba Baidyanath Dham–Basukinath Teerth Kshetra Development Authority and various state departments were present during the review session, assuring full-scale cooperation to bring the vision for Shravani Mela 2025 to life.
