In a significant step towards strengthening the state’s sports ecosystem and nurturing athletic talent, the Jharkhand Sports Authority, under the Department of Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of the Jharkhand government, has issued a recruitment advertisement for 53 posts across Centres of Excellence established in various districts of the state.
The initiative reflects the state government’s firm commitment to providing Jharkhand’s sportspersons with national and global recognition through a transparent recruitment process, merit-based selection, and continuous institutional support.
The Jharkhand government’s move highlights its forward-looking leadership and sustained dedication to building a strong, inclusive and performance-oriented sports infrastructure.
By strengthening human resources at the Centres of Excellence, the state aims to offer athletes scientific training, professional coaching and a comprehensive support system, enabling them to excel at national and international levels.
The recruitment covers a wide range of technical, coaching and support positions essential for high-performance sports training. These include 8 Head Coaches, 9 Coaches, 5 Assistant Coaches for athletics, archery, badminton, football, hockey and wrestling, 7 Physiotherapists, 4 Nutritionists, 9 Massagers and 11 Wardens.

The positions have been strategically planned to ensure the availability of qualified and trained personnel at each Centre of Excellence, thereby creating a conducive environment for athlete development, injury prevention, recovery, nutrition management and disciplined residential care.
