President Droupadi Murmu Jharkhand Visit | President of India Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Deoghar on June 10 for a two-day official visit. During her stay, she will offer prayers at the Baba Baidyanath Dham Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, and attend the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Deoghar.
In preparation for the high-profile visit, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari chaired a review meeting on Thursday to oversee all arrangements. She emphasized that every aspect of the President’s visit should be meticulously organized to make it memorable. Stressing the importance of uninterrupted power supply, she instructed officials to pay special attention to lamp posts, gabion walls, and road cleanliness along the President’s route.
She also directed departments to clearly define and take responsibility for all arrangements from the President’s arrival to departure.
High-Level Security and Coordination in Place
Director General of Police Anurag Gupta informed the meeting that four IPS officers will lead the security arrangements, supported by teams from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Special Branch.
In terms of overall event coordination, Amitabh Kaushal, Secretary of the Commercial Tax Department, has been appointed as the nodal officer. The responsibility for the Public Address System has been assigned to the Department of Information and Public Relations.

A comprehensive discussion was held on various logistical and ceremonial arrangements, which included the stage setup, designation of nodal officers for each of the President’s programs, and the list of dignitaries who will be present at the Deoghar Airport, Baba Baidyanath Temple, and AIIMS Deoghar during her arrival and farewell.
Other protocol measures discussed and assigned included:
- Red carpet and bouquet arrangements at the airport
- National anthem arrangements
- Carcade and outrider management
- Open jeeps for photographers
- Baggage vans, handlers, and umbrella provisions
- Security planning from Deoghar Airport to the Circuit House, temple, and AIIMS
- Sound systems and the list of speakers at each event
In addition, the review also ensured accommodation and food arrangements for those accompanying the President. Special attention was given to medical facilities, drinking water, toilets, and fire safety systems at all venues associated with the visit.
