Set in the 1990s, Costao is based on the real-life story of fearless customs officer Costao Fernandes. The plot revolves around his daring mission to dismantle one of the most powerful gold smuggling syndicates operating in Goa.
The film follows his bold solo operation which led to the unraveling of one of thgold
smuggling plots in Indian history. However, things take a dark turn when a shocking betrayal from within the system frames him for murder. Caught in a deadly web of crime and corruption, Costao must navigate dangerous criminals, a crooked bureaucracy, and threats to his loved ones to clear his name and bring justice.
