Unique Election Arrangements and Voter Services
In a reflection of Bihar’s diverse geography, the Election Commission announced that officials will reach 197 polling stations by boat, while 250 polling stations will be guarded by horse-mounted patrols to ensure accessibility and security.
For voters needing assistance or information, the EC has set up a helpline at 1950. Voters can dial +91 STD Code 1950 (for example, +91 612 1950 for Patna) to access election-related services.
Voters who need to correct entries in the electoral rolls can do so up to 10 days before candidates file nomination papers.
Additionally, 85 voters have opted for home-voting facilities, a service aimed at ensuring participation of those unable to visit polling stations physically.
