As we wait for Anne Hathaway’s The Idea of You to be out, the legendary actress recently discussed the prospect of appearing on screen alongside Priyanka Chopra in a movie. The celebrities’ affiliation with the high-end brand Bulgari allowed them to be sighted together at events in 2022 and 2023.
Anne was questioned about if she had thought about starring in a film with Priyanka in an interview with News18. Anne said, “We discussed a few things that night, that one hasn’t come up yet but what are we going to do, this is a great idea, how do we make this happen?”
When suggested that they could star in a fun spy film, Anne enthusiastically agreed, saying, “I would love that clearly and now my brain is on fire. I’ll let you know when Priyanka and I have connected”.
The Idea Of You, directed by Michael Showalter, will be released on Prime Video on May 2. Based on the same-titled novel by Robinne Lee, Anne Hathaway plays art curator and single mother Solene, who develops feelings for Hayes Campbell (played by Nicholas Galitzine). Viktor White, Ella Rubin, and Perry Mattfeld are involved with the project as well.
In an earlier conversation with Hindustan Times, Anne Hathaway discussed her ideas regarding The Idea of You.
She stated, “I loved that it was an opportunity to explore what happens if you keep blooming at a time when the world tells you the opposite is going to happen. And so for me, this is a story about what it means to think independently and live for yourself, and what it means to value your pleasure despite what other people think you should be doing. So, all of those things appealed to me, and like my character art and I love music.”
The Idea of You, which is based on the critically acclaimed contemporary love story of the same name, follows 40-year-old single mother Solène (Anne Hathaway) as she embarks on an unexpected romance with 24-year-old August Moon lead singer Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine).
