Tesla CEO and prominent figure in the tech world, Elon Musk, has once again criticized billionaire philanthropist George Soros, claiming that Soros’s supposed “hatred of humanity” extends to Israel. Musk made the remarks on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), sharing a news report that highlighted Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, criticizing Soros for allegedly donating $15 million to non-governmental organizations that support the Hamas militant group. In his post, Musk remarked, “George Soros’s hatred of humanity includes Israel btw.”
This is not the first time Musk has taken aim at Soros. In the past, Musk has expressed his disapproval of the investor, who was recently awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States, by President Joe Biden. Musk had previously called the honor a “travesty,” further emphasizing his long-standing criticism of Soros.
Musk’s attacks on Soros have often taken a more humorous, yet pointed, form. Last year, Musk shared a meme comparing Soros to the iconic Star Wars villain Sheev Palpatine, also known as Darth Sidious. In the meme, Soros was depicted as Palpatine, a seemingly benevolent figure who secretly seeks power, with the caption reading, “George Soros looking quite good here. Must be the lighting.” This was a clear insinuation that Soros might be concealing his true intentions under the guise of philanthropy.

In the past, Musk has likened Soros to Magneto, the powerful mutant supervillain from the X-Men comics, continuing his portrayal of the billionaire as someone with sinister motives. Musk’s criticism of Soros has drawn significant attention, particularly from conservative circles, as Soros has been a frequent target of their rhetoric.
These comments add to a growing list of controversial remarks by Musk about Soros, who remains a polarizing figure in political and philanthropic circles.
