Former President Barack Obama took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share a heartfelt birthday message for his wife, Michelle Obama, on Friday. The post, accompanied by a photo of the couple sitting together and holding hands across a table, was filled with affection and admiration.
In his message, Obama expressed his deep love for Michelle, writing, “Happy birthday to the love of my life, Michelle Obama. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace – and you look good doing it. I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!”
Michelle responded quickly, posting a simple but loving reply, saying “Love you, honey!” and adding two emojis – a heart and a face blowing a kiss.
The birthday tribute comes amidst swirling rumors regarding the couple’s relationship, with speculations about a potential divorce circulating on social media. These rumors gained traction after Michelle Obama chose to skip the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump in 2017. This week, Michelle’s office confirmed she would not attend the upcoming inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on January 20, although no official reason was provided. “Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former First Lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration,” her office said.
