“I am proud of you. This is going to be historic,” Michelle Obama added, emphasizing the significance of Harris’s candidacy.

Harris’s unexpected bid for the presidency against Republican rival Donald Trump has rapidly gained momentum, drawing support from various quarters less than a week after President Joe Biden decided not to seek re-election due to declining poll numbers.
Barack Obama, the first Black president of the United States, continues to be one of the most influential figures in the Democratic Party, even more than a decade after his tenure. His endorsement is anticipated to energize Harris’s campaign and bolster fundraising efforts. It also suggests that Obama may actively campaign for Harris once she becomes the presumptive nominee.
Throughout Biden’s campaign, Obama withheld his endorsement to allow the Democratic Party to select its nominee without undue influence. However, he has consistently supported Biden during significant fundraisers, contributing to some of the most successful events of Biden’s campaign.
As Harris’s campaign gathers steam, the Obamas’ endorsement is seen as a pivotal moment, potentially galvanizing supporters and solidifying her position as a formidable candidate in the upcoming election.
