Salman Khan’s latest Eid release Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, has completed its first week at the box office with a domestic collection of Rs. 97.03 crore net. The film, which released in theatres on March 30, has shown a mixed performance, especially when compared to Khan’s previous blockbusters.
According to trade reports, Sikandar earned an estimated Rs. 3.28 crore on Saturday, pushing the seven-day total to Rs. 97.03 crore net in India. Despite a strong opening of Rs. 26 crore, the film’s collections dipped sharply on Friday by 41.67%, registering just Rs. 3.5 crore.
The action-packed film features Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, supported by a star-studded cast including Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Sharman Joshi. The plot follows Sikandar, played by Salman, on a mission of justice and protection for three individuals who received organ donations from his deceased wife.

While domestic earnings have been underwhelming, the worldwide box office collection of Sikandar has reached Rs. 178.16 crore in six days, as per the filmmakers. However, the numbers still fall short when compared to Tiger 3, which crossed Rs. 219.4 crore net in India by day 7. On a positive note, Sikandar has already outperformed Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which closed its first week at Rs. 90.15 crore.
With Monday approaching, industry watchers are closely monitoring whether Sikandar can maintain momentum and hit the Rs. 100 crore mark in the coming days.
Ahead of the film’s release, Salman Khan had appealed to fans to support Sikandar along with other Eid releases. “I am hoping people get good bonuses on Eid so they can watch Sikandar, Mohanlal sir’s L2: Empuraan, and also Sunny Deol’s new film (Jaat)… I hope all work,” he said.
