Last week, a frightening incident of road rage unfolded on the Greater Noida Expressway, leaving a family terrified as they were chased by four men in a BMW late at night. The whole ordeal was captured on the dashboard camera of their car, shedding light on the dangerous encounter.
It all began around 1 am when a Ford EcoSport was overtaken by a BMW sedan driving on the wrong side of the road. The BMW narrowly missed hitting the EcoSport, but instead of backing off, it took a U-turn and started tailing the car.
Realizing they were being chased, the frightened family attempted to avoid confrontation by driving away. However, the BMW managed to overtake them again at a Y-junction. Three men from the BMW then got out and started approaching the EcoSport.
Fearing for their safety, the EcoSport driver decided to speed away, with the family desperately calling for help and one person giving directions to the hospital, their intended destination. The chase continued at high speeds, with the BMW relentlessly pursuing them.
Minutes later, the BMW once again overtook the EcoSport. This time, the men inside threw bottles at the family, escalating the situation further. In a quick-thinking move, the EcoSport driver reversed the car and made a sharp U-turn to escape the attackers.
Throughout the ordeal, the family repeatedly expressed their desire to seek refuge at a nearby police station, highlighting their desperation for help. The terrifying ordeal lasted for about 10 minutes on the deserted expressway.
The video of the incident soon went viral, drawing attention to the alarming rise in road rage incidents. In response, the police have launched an investigation into the matter to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure justice for the traumatized family.
This harrowing incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
