New details have emerged in the investigation into the death of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, with videos and family accounts shedding light on the elaborate celebrations he organised for his fiancée, Siya Goyal, in the days leading up to his death. The revelations come after police arrested Goyal, 20, and Chetan Chaudhary, 22, on charges of murder and criminal conspiracy.
Videos that surfaced after the arrests show Agarwal, 25, going to great lengths to celebrate Goyal’s upcoming 20th birthday on June 19. In one clip, he is seen presenting her with a bouquet inside a luxury convertible adorned with flowers. Other videos capture the couple spending time together, posing for photographs and attending a special dinner celebration.
Emotional social media tribute posted after death
After Agarwal’s death on June 18, when authorities were still treating the incident as an accidental fall, Goyal shared an emotional tribute on Instagram mourning his loss.
Referring to their planned wedding, she wrote about their future together and questioned why he had left her so close to their marriage.
How the probe shifted from accident to murder
Agarwal, a director in his family’s real estate business, was reported to have fallen nearly 400 feet into a gorge at Lohagad Fort. The case was initially registered as an accidental death after Goyal told police that he had slipped while taking photographs near the edge of the fort.

As the investigation progressed, police uncovered evidence that prompted a dramatic shift in the case. Investigators said Goyal and her lover Chaudhary exchanged 2,004 phone calls over the past seven months, spending nearly 238 hours in conversation. According to police, their relationship began in November 2025, even as wedding preparations between Agarwal and Goyal’s families were underway.
Authorities allege that Goyal and Chaudhary had been involved in a relationship for more than a year and came to view Agarwal as an obstacle to their future together.

Investigators claim the pair conspired to kill Agarwal and had even attempted to execute a similar plan at the same location on June 14. Police allege that Goyal convinced Agarwal to visit Lohagad Fort again on June 18 under the pretext of a casual outing.
According to the investigation, Chaudhary arrived at the fort separately and followed the couple from a distance. CCTV footage reportedly captured him moving along the fort’s pathways while wearing a hoodie.
Police allege that the two accused ultimately pushed Agarwal into the gorge, causing his death. Investigators said both suspects confessed during questioning, although the allegations remain subject to judicial scrutiny as the case proceeds through the legal system.
Questions raised over cancelled Bali trip
Investigators are also examining events preceding the alleged murder, including a cancelled Bali trip planned for a pre-wedding photoshoot. Agarwal’s father, Vishal Agrawal, claimed the trip was called off after his son’s passport mysteriously went missing before their departure from Mumbai airport.
According to him, all travel documents had been stored together in a single pouch, yet only Ketan’s passport disappeared. He further alleged that Goyal briefly returned to the family’s vehicle during the journey to the airport after saying she had forgotten her mobile phone, a detail that is now being examined as part of the investigation
