Amid ongoing unrest in West Bengal’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) and reports of discontent within Maharashtra’s Shiv Sena (UBT), fresh claims have emerged regarding a possible split in the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh.
The discussion gained momentum after Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief OP Rajbhar alleged that the Samajwadi Party may face a significant exodus of leaders and legislators.
Om Prakash Rajbhar wrote on X, “A major split is going to happen in the Samajwadi Party. Ram Gopal Yadav has submitted a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah Ji. Everyone in Uttar Pradesh knows who the mastermind behind the mining scam and Gomti River scam is. As the noose tightens, the SP is getting anxious. Forget Maharashta and Bengal-the entire SP is sitting ready to join the BJP”.

In West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress is confronting one of its most serious internal crises in recent years.
The situation intensified after TMC MP Kakoli Ghosh claimed the support of 19 other parliamentarians and announced backing for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The bloc of 20 MPs has also sought a merger with the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI).
According to reports, the proposed merger could provide protection from anti-defection provisions if it receives approval from Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The development has added a new dimension to the ongoing political uncertainty surrounding the party.

Political uncertainty gripped the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) on Wednesday after several party MPs were reportedly unavailable over the phone, fueling speculation about a possible shift in loyalties.
Amid the ongoing speculation, reports suggest that six Lok Sabha MPs from the Shiv Sena (UBT) are in touch with the Eknath Shinde camp. The names include Sanjay Dina Patil, Sanjay Deshmukh, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, Omraje Nimbalkar, Bhausaheb Wakchaure and Sanjay Jadhav.
