These changes are set to deliver significant relief by slashing taxes on essential goods, making them more accessible to the average household. “This will substantially reduce the taxes on items for the common man.
Our MSMEs will benefit hugely. Daily-use items will become cheaper, which will also strengthen our economy,” Modi added, pointing to the ripple effects that could enhance economic resilience and support micro, small, and medium enterprises vital to India’s growth.

He noted its global admiration, with India handling 50% of the world’s real-time payments through this homegrown system. Turning to the younger generation, Modi issued an inspiring challenge: “The world sees the UPI platform as a wonder today. We are able to do 50% of real-time transactions in India alone today through UPI.
