Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Thursday visited Nemra village in Ramgarh district, the ancestral home of former Jharkhand Chief Minister and tribal leader Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. During his visit, the Governor offered floral tributes to the portrait of the late leader and expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved family.
Governor Gangwar also met with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and other family members, offering them words of comfort and solidarity. He also interacted with the villagers and shared in their grief during this moment of sorrow.
Recalling his long association with Shibu Soren in the Lok Sabha, the Governor said he had the opportunity to know and understand Dishom Guru closely. He remarked that Shibu Soren’s life was dedicated to tribal identity, rights, and social upliftment. He was a symbol of public service and relentless struggle, always committed to awakening society.
The Governor noted that the passing of Dishom Guru is an irreparable loss to both the social and political spheres. He prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the grieving family in this time of mourning.
