Actor Huma Qureshi’s brother, Asif Qureshi, was killed following a violent altercation over a parking issue outside his home in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area on Thursday night. Police confirmed the arrest of two individuals in connection with the murder and said the weapon used in the crime has been recovered.
According to the family, the incident occurred around 9:30–10:00 pm, when Asif asked two men to move their scooter, which was parked in front of the entrance to his house. “My husband, Asif, requested him to move the vehicle away. The man abused Asif and threatened to come back,” said Shaheen Asif Qureshi, Asif’s wife.
Minutes later, the same individuals returned. “Within minutes the man, along with his brother, came and stabbed Asif with a sharp weapon,” Shaheen added. “I called Javed, my brother-in-law, but by the time he reached, Asif had lost a lot of blood and died.”
Police Arrest Two Accused in Huma Qureshi’s Brother’s Murder
Asif Qureshi, 42, who ran a chicken business, was rushed to the National Heart Institute in East of Kailash, where doctors declared him brought dead. “Doctors said he died an hour and a half ago,” Shaheen noted.
The accused, identified as Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18), have been arrested by Delhi Police. An FIR has been filed under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to murder.

Saleem Qureshi, father of Huma Qureshi, reacted to the tragedy, saying, “Two men parked a scooter in front of the house. Asif asked them to move it aside and not block the entrance. They (accused) were two, together they killed my nephew.”
Shaheen also alleged that the suspects had previously attempted to harm her husband.
