Noida Expressway Vehicle Pile-up: More than a dozen vehicles, including cars and trucks, were involved in a massive collision on the Noida Expressway on Saturday morning as dense fog severely reduced visibility across Delhi-NCR. The accident led to a long traffic jam and left several people injured.
The pile-up occurred on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, also known as the Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal Expressway, a 135-kilometre-long, six-lane corridor that passes through Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Visuals from the accident site showed the severity of the crash. A white car was seen mounted on the road divider with its bonnet badly damaged, while a truck stood close by. Another car appeared wedged under a truck, highlighting the force of the collision.
The scale of the accident resulted in traffic coming to a standstill on the expressway, causing inconvenience to commuters during the morning hours.
Police Rush to Spot, Probe Underway
Reacting to videos circulating online, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate confirmed that personnel were deployed at the scene and action was being taken.

“In the said case, the police force is present at the scene, and necessary actions are being taken,” the Police Commissionerate said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Authorities said an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact sequence of events that led to the crash.
Poor Visibility Across Delhi-NCR
Residents across Delhi-NCR woke up to a thick layer of smog on Saturday morning, with visibility dropping sharply on several roads. The foggy conditions significantly increased the risk for motorists, particularly on high-speed corridors such as expressways.
