Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended the inauguration ceremony of the three-day Diwali Mela organized by the Indian Police Service Officers Wives Association (IPSOWA) at JAP-1 Ground, Doranda, Ranchi on Monday. MLA Kalpana Soren was the special guest at the event.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that IPSOWA is not a new name in the state. “Over the years, the organization has continuously worked to support marginalized and underprivileged sections of society through various initiatives,” Soren said.
He extended his best wishes to IPSOWA for its commitment to social responsibility.
IPSOWA Moving Towards a New Goal
The Chief Minister stated that the police department is dedicated to ensuring the safety of people’s lives and property in the state. IPSOWA, an organization run by the families of police officers, has been deeply involved in social causes and has consistently fulfilled its responsibilities with sensitivity.
“Through such fairs, you are moving towards achieving new goals. I am confident that IPSOWA will definitely succeed in its mission,” Soren said.

Praising IPSOWA’s active role in social work despite members’ busy schedules, Hemant Soren said the organization has been continuously working to support those in need. “It is important that we stand with every needy person in society. For this, collective efforts are essential,” he added. The Chief Minister also extended his best wishes to everyone participating in the Diwali Mela.

The event was attended by Director General of Police Anurag Gupta, ADG Priya Dubey, IPSOWA President Shikha Gupta, and several members of the association.
