In a charged appeal to the people of West Bengal, Trinamool Congress National General Secretary and party leader Abhishek Banerjee launched a new digital campaign titled ‘Ami Banglar Digital Joddha’ (I am Bengal’s Digital Warrior) on Thursday.
In a video message, Banerjee said the ‘Ami Banglar Digital Joddha’ initiative has been launched to counter the “false propaganda” against West Bengal. The initiative comes ahead of the West Bengal Assembly Elections slated for 2026.
In a statement issued later, Banerjee said, “It is upon us to stand up for Bengal’s rights, dignity, and truth, to fight back with clarity and conviction. That’s why I am launching ‘Ami Banglar Digital Joddha’, a people-powered, youth-led digital movement to protect Bengal’s identity, uphold its truth, and carry its message of pride and progress to every corner of India and the world.”
He added, “Bengal, our beloved motherland, is being hounded, humiliated, maligned, and vilified by Bohiragoto Bangla-Birodhi Zamindars who thrive on lies and propaganda, increasingly in the digital space where the battle now rages.”

“This attack is intensifying in the digital world,” the statement said, urging citizens to rise in defense of Bengal’s rights, dignity, and truth.
The ‘Ami Banglar Digital Joddha’ campaign positions itself as a people-powered, youth-led digital movement aimed at protecting Bengal’s culture, heritage, identity, and pride. It also seeks to amplify the state’s achievements and progress across India and beyond.
Banerjee issued an open call to the young people across West Bengal who refuse to “stand by silently while their land is insulted”. They have been urged to register through a provided link (www.ABDigitalJoddha.com) and join as “digital warriors” to strengthen the state’s future.
