In a major push towards holistic rural development and sports promotion, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has initiated the establishment of a state-of-the-art archery training centre in Pandrapath, located in the remote Sanna tehsil of Bagicha block in Jashpur district. The project, aimed at empowering tribal youth, will be developed as a multi-purpose complex.
The ambitious initiative is backed by a financial grant of ₹20.53 crore from NTPC under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The upcoming complex will not only include a modern archery academy but also a mini library, a primary medical unit, a skill development center, and a shaded nursery for organic farming. Additionally, a medicinal garden will be developed with a focus on planting herbs and medicinal trees.

The land for the project has been identified with the assistance of the local administration.Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that the initiative will provide a robust platform for rural youth to refine their talents and showcase their abilities at national and international levels. He noted that the project’s detailed site layout, 3D design, building structures, and cost breakdowns for each component have been meticulously prepared by expert consultants.

The Chief Minister also expressed confidence that this innovative move will not only boost the sports ecosystem but also foster inclusive development in Jashpur through improvements in education, healthcare, and skill enhancement.
