Jharkhand Welfare Minister Shri Chamra Linda on Wednesday visited the Nursing Skill College located in Chanho block. During the visit, he held a detailed meeting with the college’s management committee to discuss its operations, infrastructure, and future development plans.
As part of his inspection, Minister Linda thoroughly reviewed the physical condition of the college campus, including classrooms, laboratories, and hostel facilities. He also interacted with the female students, attentively listening to their academic and basic needs. He assured the students that their issues would be addressed promptly to ensure a better and more conducive educational environment.
Commending the administration, Linda said the campus is well-organized and rich in resources. He added that this facility could be effectively utilized to start various professional medical education courses such as ANM and GNM. These courses, he said, would greatly benefit students from rural areas, enabling them to serve both the state and the nation as trained nursing professionals.

The minister urged the college management to prepare a detailed plan and submit a proposal to the department. He reiterated that the department prioritizes providing quality medical education and training in rural regions so that children in these areas can access employment opportunities and the state can benefit from a skilled healthcare workforce.
Additionally, Linda indicated that the government is open to promoting such skill development institutions through public-private partnership (PPP) mode to empower the youth of Jharkhand and make them self-reliant.
He concluded by assuring the college authorities that if the proposal is solid, the Government of Jharkhand will extend full support. “My goal is to ensure that no child in Jharkhand is forced to compromise on their dreams due to lack of resources,” he said.
