Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and current MP Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday visited the ancestral residence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Nemra, Ramgarh, to pay his respects to the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. He offered floral tributes to the leader’s photograph and expressed heartfelt condolences to the family.
During the visit, Yadav met Chief Minister Hemant Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, MLA Basant Soren, and other family members, conveying his deep sympathies and offering comfort. He also had a personal interaction with Hemant Soren’s mother, Roopi Soren, during which he became emotional.
Yadav told her, “In this moment of grief, the entire people of Jharkhand are with you. Your strength will provide power to the state’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren.”

He recalled the late leader’s lifelong dedication to the welfare of tribal, Dalit, oppressed, afflicted, and marginalised communities, stating, “From Guruji’s life, we will always draw inspiration. Though Dishom Guru Shibu Soren is no longer with us, his struggle, ideals, and personality will never be forgotten. Guruji will be remembered for generations as an influential public leader who gave society a new direction.”
