In a major move to boost investment and industrial growth in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will visit Mumbai on April 23 and 24 to participate in two high-profile national events focusing on the textile and steel sectors. Both events will take place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, and will serve as platforms to showcase Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy, infrastructure development roadmap, and sector-specific investment opportunities.
The visit is being seen as a strategic outreach to attract national attention and private investment into the state’s evolving industrial landscape.
Textile Sector in Focus on April 23
On the first day of his visit, CM Sai will attend the CMAI Fab Show, India’s premier textile industry event hosted by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI). The show brings together key players from apparel manufacturing, exports, and branding.
At the event, the Chief Minister will present Chhattisgarh’s reformed industrial policy with a special emphasis on textile sector support, including land allocation, logistics and power subsidies, and export facilitation. The session is expected to see the finalization of investment proposals and MoUs with select companies keen to enter or expand within Chhattisgarh.
Steel Industry Centre Stage on April 24
On April 24, the Chief Minister will attend the India Steel 2025 summit as a special guest, where Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will deliver a virtual address to inaugurate the event. The summit is expected to draw major industry leaders, policy-makers, and investors from across the country.
CM Sai will deliver a keynote address, highlighting Chhattisgarh’s ambitions to become a national hub in steel production. He will outline the state’s strategy for establishing dedicated steel clusters, developing logistics corridors, and streamlining regulatory processes to make doing business easier.

A dedicated Chhattisgarh Round Table will also be held the same day, where the Chief Minister will hold one-on-one discussions with potential investors. These interactions will focus on investor facilitation, single-window clearances, and labour-friendly policies designed for industrial expansion.
Showcasing the State’s Industrial Ecosystem
The Chief Minister will also visit the Chhattisgarh Pavilion at the event venue—an interactive exhibit that highlights the state’s industrial ecosystem, infrastructure readiness, and sector-wise opportunities. The pavilion aims to attract attention from businesses seeking to invest in a growth-oriented environment.
Media Interactions and Investment Dialogue
CM Sai is scheduled to brief the media at 1 PM on both days of the event at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. He will share insights on Chhattisgarh’s investment strategy, event outcomes, and the broader economic vision of the state.
