The couple celebrated the birth of their child last Saturday, almost two years after their singer-son’s tragic demise. Charan Singh, aged 58, underwent the In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedure, as per a relative’s disclosure earlier this year.
In an Instagram video shared on Tuesday, Balkaur Singh, father of Sidhu Moose Wala appealed to the administration to cease the harassment. “The district is pressuring me to provide documents about the child. I urge the government and the Chief Minister to allow the treatment to proceed. I will cooperate whenever summoned and present all legal documents,” expressed Singh.
Last week, the Union health ministry directed the Punjab government to furnish a report on Charan Singh’s IVF treatment, highlighting that the age limit for IVF procedures is between 21-50 years, as per Section 21(g)(i) of the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021.
Balkaur Singh had also announced the birth of his second son via Instagram, sharing a photo of the newborn and confirming the family’s well-being. Their elder son, Sidhu Moose Wala, transitioned from being a singer to a politician and tragically lost his life in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29, 2022.
