Karnataka govt asks CBI to seek international assistance to locate Prajwal Revanna

The Karnataka government has made a formal request to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to seek international assistance in locating JDS leader Prajwal Revanna, who is accused of multiple instances of sexual assault.

Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda, reportedly left the country after videos surfaced on social media allegedly showing him harassing women, sparking widespread controversy during the general election.

In response to the scandal, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, urging the state government to provide comprehensive support to the victims affected by the case.

The accusations against the MP involve explicit videos purportedly filmed by the MP himself and circulated within the Hassan constituency. A woman has filed a police complaint against Prajwal Revanna, alleging repeated instances of sexual abuse between 2019 and 2022.

Additionally, the complainant claimed that Prajwal Revanna behaved inappropriately towards her daughter during a video call and engaged in vulgar conversations.
