In a highly unusual and controversial move, Uttarakhand Police drove an SUV into the emergency ward of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh to apprehend a nursing officer accused of molesting a woman doctor.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, was captured on a video and has since gone viral.

The footage depicts the police vehicle navigating through the emergency ward, causing commotion among patients and staff. Guards are seen hastily moving stretchers with patients out of the SUV’s path.
The video, shared by user Divya Gandotra Tandon on X, quickly garnered over 448.7K views. Responding to the video, a user said, “Bollywood movie shooting it seems!”
Meanwhile, another user said, “General law and order in India has completely broken down in the game of state vs centre. The police are brutal, corrupt, and fearless of the the people whom they serve. Same goes for judiciary and this doesn’t bode well for India. India is metamorphosing into a weird beast of a country not seen anywhere else.”
A third said, “No matter whatever the case may be how can enter in hospital building with vehicle and that too in emergency ward on 4th floor !!! Totally miss use of power given by public !!!” While another said, “Height of insensitivity. Police vehicle went through various sections of the AIIMS (Rishikesh) disrupting treatment of the patients. Police finally arrested the accused but their approach is nowhere acceptable.”
In another video, medical students are seen protesting and demanding the termination of the nursing officer accused of harassing a junior resident doctor.

According to the media, the nursing officer, identified as Satish Kumar, allegedly sexually molested a woman doctor inside an operation theatre at AIIMS Rishikesh.
He is also accused of sending obscene messages to the doctor. Kumar has since been arrested by the police. Faced with a large number of protesting doctors, law enforcement officials decided to drive into the emergency ward to apprehend the accused.
