Jharkhand has emerged as one of India’s top-performing states in industrial and business reforms under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The state has been recognized as a ‘Top Achiever’ in the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) survey conducted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
Officials including Industry Secretary Arwa Rajkamal, Industry Director Vishal Sagar, and JIADA Managing Director Varun Ranjan met Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Secretariat after receiving the prestigious award. They informed him that Jharkhand earned the distinction for its outstanding performance in Business Entry, Construction Permits, Labour Regulation, and the Service Sector.
Chief Minister Soren congratulated the officers and said this recognition is a matter of immense pride for the entire state. “Such achievements inspire us to perform even better and take Jharkhand’s development to greater heights,” he remarked.
Jharkhand’s Steady Rise in Development
The Chief Minister emphasized that Jharkhand is reaching new milestones of growth through the coordinated efforts of all departments and stakeholders. He reiterated the state government’s firm commitment to boost industrial investment and said that no effort will be spared in ensuring sustained development.

“Our government continues to formulate and implement plans aimed at strengthening the state’s economy and infrastructure. With the collective efforts of every official, we will build a new and developed Jharkhand,” Soren said.

The Business Reform Action Plan under DPIIT’s Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) framework evaluates states and Union Territories based on their performance across key regulatory and governance indicators. Its objective is to encourage a competitive, transparent, and reform-oriented business environment across India.
