Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday reiterated his government’s commitment to making Jharkhand stronger and better through continuous efforts across all sectors, alongside new appointments. He was addressing the appointment letter distribution ceremony for newly selected candidates under the Urban Development and Housing Department, as well as the launch of the Jharkhand Tourism and Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation logo and website at Jharkhand Mantralaya.
Congratulating the appointees, CM Hemant Soren said, “From today, you are joining as an integral part of the government. I am confident that you will discharge your responsibilities with dedication and efficiency for the overall development of the state.” He emphasized that their role will be crucial in providing better civic services and facilities to urban residents.
The Chief Minister noted that rapid migration from villages to towns has been increasing city size and population, making systematic and planned urban development essential. “If cities expand in an unplanned manner, it will lead to multiple challenges and problems. Hence, it is necessary to move forward with proper planning to ensure better civic facilities,” he added.
Tourism Offers Vast Opportunities for Jharkhand
Highlighting Jharkhand’s natural wealth, CM Soren said that nature has blessed the state with not only mineral resources but also immense natural beauty. “Tourism in Jharkhand has vast potential, but due to various reasons, this sector remained underdeveloped. Our government is now working to showcase Jharkhand’s cultural heritage and natural beauty on the global map,” he said.
The Chief Minister launched the new tourism logo and website, noting that the platform will help promote Jharkhand’s scenic tourist destinations worldwide and attract more visitors. He added that several initiatives are being taken to strengthen the tourism sector.
