Tragedy struck Bihar’s capital, Patna, on Thursday as a fire engulfed a hotel near the bustling Patna railway station, claiming the lives of six individuals and leaving thirty others with burn injuries.
According to officials, the blaze, which erupted due to a cylinder explosion, quickly spread through the premises, leading to devastating consequences.
Authorities from the Patna fire department revealed that preliminary investigations suggest the fire was a result of lapses in adhering to safety protocols.
Despite the swift and valiant efforts of firefighters, the inferno raged uncontrollably for a period, causing extensive damage and loss of life.
Addressing the media, Patna fire department director general, Shobha Ahokakar, confirmed that the fire has been successfully brought under control, bringing a sense of relief amidst the chaos and devastation.
