X formerly known Twitter suffered a global outage for the third time on Saturday, making the user unable to use the app or website. According to Downdetector the platform first suffered outage around 3:30 PM IST, followed by another at 7:00 PM IST and a third spike at 8:44 PM IST. Elon Musk said it as a “massive cyber attack” which caused the disruption.
The outage impacted user across the world from US, Britain ,Canada , India. For those unfamiliar, Downdetector tracks the operational status of internet services and has recently observed a significant surge in outage reports.
As per the reports of Downdetector 52 per cent of users are facing issues with the app itself, 40 per cent are experiencing problems on the website, and 7 per cent have reported server connection failures.
Elon Musk’s statement on the outage
The continuous failure of the platform has eventually made the users frustrated Musk wrote on the platform that it was under a “massive cyber attack”and suspected a large group behind the outage.
“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against . We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing,” Elon Musk wrote.

While some areas has seen re establishment of service but may areas still had server issue.
According to Downdetector, the number of outage reports rose past 40,000 in the United States, while more than 10,800 users in the United Kingdom also reported issues earlier in the day.
