In a disturbing revelation that has reignited debates around power structures in the film industry, actress Tanushree Dutta has alleged ongoing harassment within her own home. In a video posted on social media, she claimed that a dangerous conspiracy is being hatched against her by what she called the “Bollywood mafia gang,” comparing her situation to that of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
“Just like Sushant Singh Rajput, there are attempts being made to kill me,” Dutta said in an emotional interview with News18 India. “I urge the government to provide me with security. This mafia is huge and dangerous, and I fear for my life just like Sushant must have,” she added, demanding immediate intervention.
Plans to File Police Complaint Amid Health Concerns and Constant Surveillance
Tanushree Dutta also disclosed that she intends to file a police complaint concerning recent events that she says are separate from her earlier #MeToo case. “I will file a complaint tomorrow at the police station. I request the authorities not to treat this as a continuation of my previous case but to look at this with a fresh perspective and help me get justice,” she clarified.

The actress further claimed that she has been constantly followed, that her home has been under surveillance, and that a maid was planted in her house to spy on her. “I am being harassed in my own home. Mujhe mere hi ghar mein pareshaan kiya jaa raha hai,” she said in the video, adding that she recently called the police, who advised her to file an official complaint.
Due to ongoing stress, Dutta said her health has deteriorated significantly. “Meri tabiyat kharab ho gayi hai. Main kuch kaam nahi kar paa rahi hoon. Mera pura ghar messy ho chuka hai,” she explained. She also alleged theft and misconduct by house help, which has led her to manage all domestic work on her own. “Please someone help me,” she pleaded.
#MeToo Pioneer Again in the Spotlight
Tanushree Dutta became a household name in 2018 after she reignited a 2008 sexual harassment allegation against veteran actor Nana Patekar, helping kickstart the #MeToo movement in India. She also accused director Vivek Agnihotri of misconduct during the filming of Chocolate. Both men have denied the allegations.
Now, Dutta emphasizes that her current situation should not be dismissed as a continuation of past claims. “I’m not trying to reopen the old case. I only want action on the new incidents that are endangering my safety,” she said.
As of now, neither the Mumbai Police nor anyone from the Bollywood fraternity has issued a response to the actress’s serious allegations.
