Bengaluru suicide murder: A family of four, including a software consultant, his wife, and their two young children, was found dead in their rented home in Bengaluru on Monday. Police are investigating the case as a suspected murder-suicide.
The deceased have been identified as Anup Kumar (38), a software consultant originally from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Rakhi (35), his wife and their children, Anupriya (5) and Priyansh (2).
Discovery of the Tragedy
The incident came to light when the family’s house help arrived for work on Monday morning. Despite repeated attempts to contact the family, there was no response. The house help alerted neighbors, who subsequently informed the police.
Upon entering the home, authorities discovered that the children had been poisoned and the couple had died by hanging, according to the preliminary investigation.
The family appeared outwardly happy, even planning a trip to Pondicherry, with packing completed on Sunday. However, investigators believe stress related to their elder child’s health condition may have contributed to the tragedy.
