Stree 2 teaser leak: Get ready for another dose of horror comedy as the sequel to Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s hit film Stree is all set to hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
Initially slated for August 31, the release date for Stree 2 has been advanced to coincide with India’s Independence Day, announced producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.

In an announcement on social media, Maddock Films declared, “Iss swatantrata diwas, aa rahi hai #Stree fir se! #Stree2 in cinemas this Independence Day, 15th August 2024.”
Stree 2 will face tough competition at the box office as it clashes with three other highly anticipated films – Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein, John Abraham’s Vedaa, and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule.
The original Stree, featuring a stellar cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, was both a commercial success and critically acclaimed upon its release in 2018.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film was set in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, revolving around the eerie tale of an evil spirit named ‘Stree’ who preyed on men during festive seasons, inspired by the urban legend of “Nale Ba” from Karnataka.
Stree 2, produced by Dinesh Vijan in association with Jio Studios, is part of Maddock’s expanding horror comedy universe, which includes films like Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya.
As fans eagerly await the sequel, expectations are high for another round of laughter, scares, and entertainment as Stree 2 promises to continue the legacy of its successful predecessor.
