Jharkhand has recorded a proud achievement at the National SHG Federation Awards 2025, with three Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) led by rural women securing top positions at both national and regional levels. The awards ceremony, organised by Mahila Abhivrudhi Society (APMAS), was held on 21 November 2025 in Hyderabad.
JSLPS Chief Executive Officer Ananya Mittal said the success of Jharkhand’s women-led federations is the result of the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the continuous support of the state government. He noted that 423 model Cluster Level Federations across Jharkhand are playing a vital role in empowering rural women by organising them and helping them become self-reliant.
“Through the SHG Federation Awards 2025, Jharkhand’s rural women have brought national pride to the state with their collective leadership, transparent management, and strong organisational capabilities,” he added.

Dhankeri Aajeevika Mahila Sankul Swayam Sambhal Sahkari Samiti Ltd., Itkhori, formed on 4 December 2018, comprises around 3,100 women from 246 SHGs across three panchayats. The CLF won the National Second Prize for its outstanding financial management practices, including integrated annual planning, monthly financial reviews, budget–variance analysis, digital monitoring (Online DCB, LokOS), and 100% loan repayment.

Baguria CLF From East Singhbhum Wins 2nd Prize in Eastern Region
The Baguria Aajeevika Mahila Sankul Sangathan Swavalambi Sahkari Samiti Ltd. of Ghatshila block, East Singhbhum, formed on 6 July 2018, secured the second prize in the Eastern Region.
The CLF addressed key challenges faced by farmers — including low capital and lack of modern technology — by providing low-interest CIF loans and ensuring access to advanced agricultural training through 22 Aajeevika Krishi Mitras (AKMs) and 2 senior AKMs. With support from government schemes, it also facilitated seeds, fertilisers, and farming equipment, helping families who had left farming to return to agriculture.
Today, more than 2,500 farmers in the region have become ‘Lakhpati Farmers’ through vegetable cultivation. The Baguria CLF has showcased a strong model of agriculture-based livelihoods and women-led development, firmly establishing Jharkhand’s presence in the Eastern region.
