North Korean defector Yeonmi Park has made shocking revelations about the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un. According to a report by Mirror, Park claims that Kim Jong Un selects 25 virgin girls each year for his “pleasure squad.”
These girls are chosen based on their appearance and loyalty to the regime. Park herself was scouted twice for the squad but was not chosen due to her family background.
Park explains that officials visit schools to find pretty girls for the squad. They check the girls’ family and political backgrounds, eliminating those with family members who have fled the country or have ties to South Korea or other countries.
Once selected, the girls undergo medical examinations to ensure their virginity. Even minor imperfections, like scars, lead to disqualification.
After passing the tests, the chosen girls are sent to Pyongyang, the capital, where they serve the dictator’s desires. The squad is divided into three groups: one trained in massage, another in performing songs and dances, and a third for sexual intimacy with Kim Jong Un and other men.
“They have to be sexually intimate with the dictator, and other men. They have to learn how to please these men that’s their only goal,” Park said.
Park reveals that the girls’ sole purpose is to please these men. While the most attractive girls serve Kim Jong Un directly, others satisfy lower-ranking officials. When the girls reach their mid-twenties, their time in the squad ends. Some are married off to the leader’s bodyguards.
The origins of this “pleasure squad” trace back to the 1970s during Kim Jong Un’s father’s rule, Kim Jong Il. He believed that sexual intimacy would grant him immortality. However, he died in 2011 from a heart attack at the age of 70.
Park’s revelations shed light on the darker aspects of life under the North Korean regime and highlight the need for awareness and action to address human rights abuses in the country.
