The video has received 48 million views in spite of the notice, and numerous comments have expressed shock and even disdain. The caption by Cooper implies that the unusual approach is a regional tactic, saying, “Also, if you’re not from the South, you won’t understand.”
Social media users burst out of different comments. Memes and jokes flooded the internet, turning the barbecue mishap into a viral sensation.
A user commented, “The material of the mop may not be suitable for use on food. It could be just like using industrial oil on food, which is the same thing.” Another user wrote, “That’s not even sanitary. And that mop will never be clean or dry. is building up bacteria in the mop.” Third user commented, “I don’t care if that mop is clean or not, I’m not eating that meat and chicken (crying emoji).”Forth user wrote, “im pretty sure there are better options to execute this process of the food prep.”
